World’s first 3D house was built in France. A French family has become the first in the whole world to move in a 3D house. The home is a four-bedroom premise. This is an example of other massive projects that are yet to be seen in the future. 3D model of a building is highly recommended as it’s a quick means of building and it’s also cheaper. Questions are still moving around whether the method could make a significant shift in the construction industry. A 3D printed house has unique walls. The walls are crafted in such a manner that they are curved thus reducing the effects of humidity. Also, the curved walls are regarded as digital controls for the disabled. A 3D apartment could be a costly comprehension of an architect’s vision.

Printing of the house takes around 54 hours. Additionally, four months are set aside for the contractors and other crafts personnel to add in other items like doors, windows and the roof. Roughly, the cost of setting up a 3D house costs around 176,000 euros. This is 20% cheaper than other identical buildings that use the traditional solutions. A team that was responsible for the printing of the house in France now believe that they can print the same house in 33 hours compared to the first that took 54 hours. The house in France measures 1022ft square. It was designed for a family of five with only four bedrooms. The home also had a large central space. The project of constructing the home was a collaboration between the housing association, city council and the University of Nantes.

The council’s head of technology and innovation, Francky Trichet, stated that the primary aim of the whole project was to witness whether this kind of building could become conventional for housing. The council also wanted to be sure of whether the principles that they had anticipated could apply to other commercial buildings, i.e. sports halls. Francky Trichet strongly believes that 3D printing will enormously disrupt the construction industry. For almost 2000 years now, there hasn’t been a change in the construction process. Francky reported that they wanted to surprise and sweep the old construction away. He went on to say that they just made a mark, it was the beginning of a long story and all they did is write ’once upon a time’. Francky noted that they will now put pressure on the private organizations to take up the pen and book and continue writing the story.
