Elizabeth Warren is both a politician and a scholar, but she considers herself more of the latter than the former. The reason for this is her ardent need to find sufficient evidence that a change will be beneficial to the world before supporting it; furthermore, she bases her beliefs on how we should treat both each other and the world around on fact and science. These things, along with love and compassion, are the leading principles of her political beliefs.

Elizabeth Warren became a senator of Massachusetts in 2012, when she was elected in as a favorite of the entire state. She stands out as one of the many reasons Massachusetts is doing so well in comparison to the rest of the country today, with special focus on reforming their educational system to be more inclusive to everyone. This, along with many of Elizabeth Warren’s other progressive beliefs, are what she utilizes on a daily basis to govern her decision-making; she believes in practicing the values she teaches, and she exercises great caution to do so.

One of the reasons Elizabeth Warren is so driven to give back to the people is that her own childhood was riddled with the issues plaguing our modern society. In particular, Warren was a victim of poverty, having to grow up in a low-income household. She learned that life was not fair very early on, which could have allowed her to grow bitter, but instead she used it as a sort of fuel to propel her journey into the political world. Elizabeth Warren knew what she wanted to do to make a difference, so the only thing to figure out next was how she planned on doing it.
