Since its founding in 2005, Stream Energy has led its Independent Associates through countless opportunities to grow and learn. The Stream Ignition conference is a shining example of this.
Stream Energy is one of the leading direct-selling companies and providers of energy and connected life services and is based in Dallas, Texas. Stream has revolutionized the energy industry with its innovative use of direct selling. All Stream Services (Energy Services, Wireless Services, Protective Services, and Home Services) work together to fit customers’ needs in Texas, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, Washington, D.C., New York, Illinois, Delaware, and Ohio.
Every year, Stream Energy hosts an annual national conference in Fort Worth, Texas called Stream Ignition. This conference is focused on helping Independent Associates with trainings and major company updates. The conference also provides Independent Associates with special opportunities including guest speakers, a chance for recognition, and exciting giveaways.
Stream Ignition 2018
In 2018, more than 4,000 Independent Associates flocked to Fort Worth to participate in Stream Ignition, which was held April 5-7. The theme of the event was “Believe In Your Dreams.” The conference was filled with energy, passion, and excitement, as the two-day event felt more like a party than a business event.
Major Announcements
During the event, two major announcements were made to help Associates reach their biggest goals. One announcement was a launch for a new energy plan: Stream Free Nights or Free Weekends. This new plan allows customers to get free electricity either every night or every weekend. The Free Nights run from 8:00 pm to 5 am. The Free Weekends run from Friday at 6:00 pm until Sunday at 11:59 pm. As part of this deal, customers will also receive a $200 gift card at the end of their 12-month contract term with Stream.
Another plan that Stream announced to help its customers was the Budget Power Plan. This new plan helps customers pay the same amount for their energy bill every single month. Customers get to pick a usage block that best suits their needs. This allows customers to pay a flat dollar amount each billing cycle. Of course, this only works if customers don’t exceed the usage block that they have chosen.
On the final day of the event, Stream’s Larry Mondry had the biggest announcement: a new energy state. This announcement regarded Stream Energy Services’ expansion to six territories in Ohio. The expansion, which began on April 24, contains 4.2 million energy meters. This new expansion allows Associates to expand their businesses in Ohio as well as other states.
As part of this expansion into Ohio, Stream Energy laid out a plan and strategy for success at Ignition. Executives recommended that Associates build their lists, get plugged into local meetings and trainings, and ask people for referrals in Ohio. Stream Energy is excited for such a large expansion and what that could mean for the growth of their Associates’ businesses and the learning opportunities it will present.
Other announcements included the return of Stream Cash to Illinois and other states, as well as the addition of a new feature to help prospective team members realize their potential called My Stream Stories.
Guest Speakers & Events
Along with these major announcements, attendees of the conference were able to attend inspirational and eye-opening speeches from well-renowned guest speakers. Speakers included success strategist and sales trainer Dr. Gloria Mayfield Banks, network marketing guru Eric Worre, and keynote speaker Inky Johnson.
“At what point will you become stronger than your strongest excuse?” keynote speaker Inky Johnson asked the audience during his speech. “Adversity can cause some people to break and other people to break records.”
The speakers provided Associates with training seminars and inspirational stories of hard work and hope.
Guest speakers weren’t the only ones that took the stage during Stream Ignition. Members of the Stream Leadership Team also inspired Associates.
“The future is so bright, I had to wear shades,” Stream Energy COO Dan O’Malley exclaimed as he put on his sunglasses in front of a cheering crowd.
Leaders shared their stories of personal dreams and successes to inspire Associates to go after their own dreams. Other leaders that took the stage included Larry Mondry, Rob Snyder, Pierre Koshakji, and Mark Schiro.
Along with guest speakers and leadership appearances, special events were scheduled throughout the conference including a VIP luncheon, Leadership Meeting, Leadership Gala, Stream Village, Business Building opportunities, a general session, and a Stream in Wonderland theme party. Throughout the weekend, Associates learned how to get certified to set up a booth at local trade shows and how to leverage My Stream Stories to show people interested in becoming team members how other people have succeeded at Stream Energy.
Recognitions and Sweepstakes
Attendees were able to test drive five different Mercedes-Benz throughout the weekend as a way to preview one of the special rewards given at the event. One of the major rewards for Independent Associates in Stream’s incentive program is a Mercedes. One Associate was actually awarded with a Mercedes during the conference. Other sweepstakes and awards occurred throughout the conference, with an emphasis on Associates who had shared their biggest dreams. Prizes included laptops, luxury cruises, private business training sessions, and donations to charities.
Several corporate sponsors supported the event. Mercedes-Benz Corporate Sales was the title sponsor for Stream Ignition 2018.
Stream Ignition 2019
Stream Ignition 2019 will once again take place in Fort Worth, Texas, from April 11-13. The theme for this year’s conference is “Lead The Charge.” Associates will be inspired to empower themselves and each other to achieve their dreams.
The conference will feature various different opportunities and events for attendees including special training, networking, recognition, entertainment, and world-renowned speakers.
What Attendees Will Experience
All Stream Ignition attendees will experience Stream Energy’s biggest event of the year. Independent Associates will have an opportunity to get together with fellow Associates from all across the country, all in one place. Apart from being an important networking opportunity for Associates, the conference also provides opportunities for them to learn how to grow their businesses with advice from top leaders in the business, as well as from the corporate team at Stream.
Stream Ignition is a place where all Associates can get a head start on their goals and optimize their success for the future, allowing them to fully “Lead the Charge.” The speakers that will be attending Stream Ignition, as well as the specific training sessions, have not been revealed yet. However, if 2018 was any indication, the opportunities presented will be vital in providing Associates with the tools to learn how to grow their businesses.
How to Register
Independent Associates can register for Stream Ignition 2019 right now. Tickets are $189 each for general admission. However, if Associates register from now until January 31, they can get special early-bird pricing for just $149.
There are also numerous add-on opportunities for Associates to upgrade their experience at Ignition 2019. Upgrade opportunities include daily lunch, tickets to the Leadership Gala, and a limited number of spots for an Elite Experience. This experience includes special check-in, fast passes, preferred seating, exclusive shopping experiences, a swag bag, and an invaluable meet-and-greet with the 2019 keynote speaker.
