A prolific senior executive, Roger Kimmel serves Rothschild Incorporated as vice chairman. Almost two decades following his installation in 2001, Kimmel remains a committed leader. He’s also the former director of the California energy-based holding group, PGE Corp. He’s operated in various capacities during his tenure. He executed several board mandates in liaison with the group’s corporate governance and nomination committee and regulated public policy compliance.

With this experience, Kimmel garnered an unsullied reputation as an authority, advising businesses on various investment banking decisions. In 2007, Endo International Plc., an Ireland-based specialty pharmaceuticals giant, appointed Kimmel to succeed its former chairperson and founder Carol Ammon. This appointment comes just seven years after his successful candidacy as an independent board director. Roger Kimmel makes an accomplished successor, having adjudicated disputes for numerous corporate boards throughout his career. He continues active duty, arbitrating debates involving corporate governance policies as a committee member and chairperson today. He co-founded Algos Pharmaceutical Corp., a pain management pioneer, known for its industry-defining painkiller medicine, MorphiDex. As the company awaited FDA approval for its breakthrough pain medication, Endo Pharmaceuticals secured its acquisition in 2000. This alliance strengthens Endo Pharmaceuticals foothold in the competitive pain management therapeutics market.

Preceding him joining the Rothschild family, Roger Kimmel served the prominent American law office of Latham & Watkins as a senior partner. His expertise on legal affairs translated into his work at Rothschild, where he developed an affinity for M/A transactions. He soon found himself tasked with leadership responsibilities, where he spearheaded numerous high-profile M/A projects. He’s aided many struggling corporations in the conquest of building success. Kimmel’s business portfolio includes several investment assets, ranging from nutraceuticals to software development enterprises.

His devotion to helping future lawyers launch successful careers is meritorious. Roger Kimmel strives to build communities, and he feels fortunate to have an opportunity to support his former university. A former GWU (George Washington University) alumnus, Kimmel holds a Bachelor’s in law, and a doctoral degree from UVA.
