Mr. Trump’s personal White House gatekeeper is another fatality in the changing world of the Washington swamp. Madeleine knows all of Trump’s nasty habits. She watched him use several of those unnerving idiosyncrasies on the White House staff. She was around when the president wanted Don McGahn to fire Robert Mueller. And she was one of the first people to hear Trump bashed Jeff Sessions for recusing himself from the Mueller investigation, according to the Times.
But Madeline made a fatal mistake. She had dinner and drinks with a few reporters who obviously say one thing and then do another, according to Westerhout. The reporters told Madeleine they would keep their dinner conversation in Bedminster, N.J. out of the news cycle. But the president remarks she repeated about his daughter’s Tiffany’s weight surfaced a week after that drink-filled evening. Madeleine resigned and Trump went easy on her in front of the press.
John Bolton’s aggressiveness toward Iran, North Korea, and the negotiations in Afghanistan has the world on edge. Mr. Trump listened to Bolton’s idea to missile-frying Iran. But then Trump realized that move would create international issues for his wobbly administration. So Trump threw Bolton to the security advisor curb in the Afghanistan talks.
Mr. Bolton doesn’t want Trump to sign an agreement with the Taliban. But Trump wants to show his voter base he keeps his campaign promises although most of those promises are still up in the air, according to the Washington Post.
Mr. Trump said never heard of a Category 5 hurricane before Dorian hit the Bahamas like a freight train on steroids. But Dorian is the fourth Category 5 hurricane to hit the states on his watch.
Mr. Trump canceled his trip to Poland when he thought Dorian would hit Mar-a-Lago and his other golf properties in Florida. Trump sent Mike Pence to Poland in his place.
Huawei officials told the press the Mate 30 Smartphone series will make its debut September 19th with or without Google’s Android operating system. Huawei developed the Harmony OS in case Google backs out due to Trump’s ban and trade war with China.
The Harmony OS works in Smart TVs, but Huawei will have to adjust the operating system so it works in the company’s smartphones. Huawei is the second-largest phone producer in the world. Huawei executives wanted to take over the number one spot this year but that won’t happen unless Trump lifts the ban.
