If you want to steal the looks you see on Riverdale, keep reading. Here’s everything you need to know about how the Riverdale girls always look so glam.

Make A Statement With A Daring Red Lip

Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch)is known for her flaming red hair, but it’s her bold red lip that pulls the look together. The show’s makeup artist is partial to Lime Crime lipstick in Red Velvet for creating Cheryl’s look. However, considering the long hours it takes to shoot a television show, the artists have to be precise in how they apply color to Madelaine’s lips.

For a red lip that will last, start by exfoliating the lips with a sugar scrub and then moisturizing them with a hydrating balm. Once the balm has soaked in, even out your lips by dabbing on a touch of concealer with a damp makeup sponge. Use a neutral or red lipliner to precisely line the lips. To apply the actual lip color, use a brush and work in layers. Use the brush to apply the Lime Crime lipstick, blot with a tissue and then repeat this process until you have achieves a rich hue. If you mess up or draw outside the lines, correct it with a precise brush dipped in a little bit of concealer.

Steal The Show With A Bold Brow

When Riverdale first premiered, fans went wild for Veronica Lodge’s (Camila Mendes) brows. They’re dark, full and thick. While such a full brow look might not be for everyone, anyone can add some boldness to their brows. For a Veronica-approved look, start by brushing out your brows. While you don’t need to remove an excess of hair, use a tweezers to clean up any strays.

Avoid a brow pencil when you’re going for a full look. When you use a pencil to completely fill in the brow, the finished result can resemble what would’ve happened had you used a Sharpie. Pencils should only be used sparingly in small flicks to create the illusion of individual hairs. Instead, use a slanted eyeliner brush and a powder matching your eyebrow color to fill in your brows and create the appearance of fullness. To keep everything in place, brush a clear brow gel through your brows once you’ve achieved your desired color and fullness with the powder.

Take Your Ponytail To The Next Level

Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) is the sweetheart of Riverdale and is almost always spotted in an innocent ponytail. While this style might look simple, Betty’s look is actually the most time-consuming for the show’s stylists.

When you pull back your hair into a quick five-second ponytail, it tends to look very flat. This very pulled-back look is rarely flattering. Combat that lifeless look by gently teasing the hair at the root, creating some volume. Once you’ve achieved some height and lift, use a soft boar bristle brush to gently smooth everything back. Smoothing the hair shouldn’t be quick; rather, it should take a bit of time to get everything exactly the way you like it. When your hair is in place, secure with an elastic. To achieve Betty’s good girl look, use a curling iron to put four to five curls into your ponytail. Finger-comb the curls to loosen them up and finish everything off with a spritz of hairspray.

Getting That Riverdale Look

You don’t have to duplicate Cheryl’s red lip, Veronica’s brow or Betty’s ponytail to achieve a look that’s Riverdale-inspired. If you want a simpler nod to the show, try a light application of BB cream or tinted moisturizer, then follow with a simple coat of mascara, a bit of cheek tint and a nude lip. This simple makeup look is often spotted in the Riverdale universe and is universally flattering on just about everyone.  Learn more tips like these on Lime Crime’s Instagram page @LimeCrimeMakeup
