Mina Gerowin is known to be one of the first women to break into the world of hedge funds. She was born in 1951, and she went to Smith College where she earned a degree in economy. Later, Gerowin became the editor of the Virginia Journal of International Law publishing on Foreign Direct Investment Regulation. Gerowin also studied at Harvard University; there, she was a finalist for the the Copeland Prize, and she was also a Baker Scholar. Gerowin attained her M.B.A while she was at Harvard, and she also went to the University of New Haven where she received her Doctorate of Humane Letters. Gerowin has worked as an investment banker in united states and in Europe, and apart from her work in finance, she also practiced law for two years.
