They have 2 Midwest campuses located in Wichita, Kansas and Ballwin, Missouri, and they understand the important differences in requirements for licensing in both states. They specialize in training for cosmetology, esthetics, and nail training.
The Crave motto and guiding principles are spelled out in its name, “culture, relationships, achievement, values, and education”.
Cosmetology
This is an intense 1,500 hour long and fully accredited program to teach you all the skills you will need for handling your clients’ hair, nails, and skin. With a combination of expert classroom education paired with hands-on salon training, you will leave Crave Beauty Academy ready to work as a professional cosmetologist. The training covers hair cutting for both male and female clients, makeup, skin care, and nails. The course work also includes information on marketing and business management tools for a successful career in beauty.
Esthetics and Spa Training
The Crave Esthetics program includes everything you will need to become a licensed professional esthetician. The program in Kansas is 1,000 hours while the Missouri course is 750 hours due to the differing licensing requirements in the two states. The courses cover such topics as skin analysis, skin disorders, facial treatments, hair removal, chemical exfoliation, and microdermabrasion. In addition, to the hands-on training, the course gives you an education in the practical side of the business including marketing and finances. Crave also partners with industry experts to help provide the cutting edge techniques and skills you will need for a flourishing practice.
Nail Technology
This program will help you learn all you will need to become a professional nail technician. Again due to different licensing requirements, the programs differ slightly in length between Kansas and Missouri. The Kansas program is 350 hours and the Missouri program is 400 hours. This program covers natural nail health, manicures, and pedicures, nail artistry, massage techniques, and nail extensions and enhancements. And like the other Crave programs, your training will also include practical instruction on business and marketing.
