The Iran fiasco took heat off Trump’s pending impeachment trial. Trump had to show his voter base he stays on top of his presidential duties even though he spends more time sending nasty tweets than attending to official business.

Iran decided to give Trump a win, but the war with Iran isn’t over. According to Senator Rand Paul, the end of solving issues with Iran diplomatically is over. Trump added more Iranian sanctions, and that proves Trump still wants to force Supreme leader Khomeini to his prayer-saying knees. But Khomeini won’t let Trump win the war he started with Iran. Iran plans to force the United States out of the Middle East, but it’s unclear what he plans to do to make that happen.

Mr. Trump’s battle with Huawei is on steroids. Trump threatened the U.K. if lawmakers decide to use Huawei 5G technology. Boris Johnson is a Trump-lover. But Huawei has the best 5G program on the planet, and Boris needs to get the U.K economy moving in the right direction when his split with the EU becomes a reality.

France plans to use Huawei’s 5G technology despite threats from Pompeo and Trump. Russia already signed a contract with Ren Zhengfei’s $122 billion company, and Angela Merkel thinks Germany should sign up too. But German lawmakers still think Trump’s spying claim is real. Mr. Trump claims Huawei puts spying apps in its programs, but there’s no proof.

Chinese corporations and the government have a special relationship. Chinese capitalism is not the same as Western capitalism. China likes to give international corporations incentives so they can compete with the big tech companies in the United States. Mr. Trump wants China to stop subsidizing Huawei and ZTE, so he started a smear campaign around the world in order to force China to sign the tech part of his trade agreement.

But the Chinese refuse to change their form of capitalism to appease Mr. Trump. That’s why some economists think the tariff war could last for years.

Despite Trump’s plan to ruin Huawei, the company had an 18 percent increase in Revenue in 2019. Trump’s business ban hurt the company, but the smartphone division made up for some of the business Trump took away.

The Chinese will be in Washington to sign the phase one part of the trade deal next week. Mr. Trump expects to claim another victory when that happens. But the Chinese made some changes in phase one agreement. Those changes could screw up the Trumpster’s plan to dominate the Chinese.
