Kylie Jenner, Floyd Mayweather, Lionel Messi, Ryan Seacrest and other celebrities have made it to the freshly-released Forbes list of World’s Highest-Paid Entertainers 2018. Floyd Mayweather tops the list with whopping $285 million in pre-tax earnings.

George Clooney comes in second with $239 million and Kylie Jenner, a good friend of Seacrest, pulled in $166.5 million and claimed the third spot, thanks to her cosmetics empire. The 20-year-old reality television star turned makeup mogul became the highest-paid woman on this year’s Celebrity 100 list of top-earning entertainers, beating out Beyonce.

Ryan Seacrest’s $74 million put him at No. 26 on the list. The host of American Idol, the American Top 49 radio countdown and E! news is one of entertainment’s best-paid talents. In addition to profitable deals with Clear Channel Radio, Idol parent CKX and the Comcast Entertainment Group, Seacrest produces TV shows like Keeping up with the Kardashians on E! Channel. Also, Ryan endorses brands like Bing, Coca-Cola and Procter & Gamble.

But bigger projects are always on the horizon for Ryan Seacrest. Taking a cue from Oprah, he might even start his own cable network! With Ryan, everything’s possible. On weekends he flies to LA and then takes the red-eye Sunday flights to NYC to shoot Live! Monday mornings. After all, Seacrest is known for working on 10 different projects at the same time.

From his newest radio show “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” to his skin-care and clothing line, here are the most lucrative projects that make Ryan so successful on Forbes’ list.

How Ryan Seacrest Became American Idol

In 2002, Seacrest was first offered to host American Idol. There was already a host for the show and Ryan auditioned to be the co-host. In fact, Seacrest was first offered to be a judge for the show but he asked to be auditioned for the host.

“It happened very fast. I remember I auditioned on a Friday and I think I started working on a Saturday. Nothing ever happens as planned,” Seacrest remembers.

The singing competition was based on the British series Pop Idol when Simon Cowell decided to bring it to the US. Simon also thought that Ryan would be better as a host of the show together with Brian Dunkleman. Later on, Seacrest became the only and the most popular host of the show. For eight consecutive years, American Idol ranked number one in the US TV ratings. Ryan Seacrest quickly rose to fame as a major TV personality.

In March 2018, American Idol returned and so did Ryan! Anyone who’s ever watched “American Idol” agrees that the original judge panel that included Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul was the most effective. Producers couldn’t replicate that, but they wanted to get as close as possible. The result was a three-person panel: Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryant!

Live with Kelly and Ryan

When FOX decided to cancel American Idol in 2016, Ryan had no other option but to close this chapter of his life. After 15 years in the entertainment industry, Seacrest was on an important quest. While he was trying to figure out his next steps, he was given a chance to be a co-host on a daily show with his friend Kelly Ripa. That was the very beginning of “Live with Kelly and Ryan.”

This new job also meant that he would relocate to New York City. But then ABC Network offered Ryan a contract to return to American Idol’s 16th season reboot, which meant shooting Idol in LA and the morning show in NYC! To some people, this would be a problem, but not to Ryan Seacrest.

When Ripa and Seacrest walked out on the Live stage hand-in-hand, a new chapter of the Live story was opened and two friends and colleagues started their journey together. Ryan proved that he’s not just an excellent talent show host, but also, that he’s perfect for every TV role, even if that means flying from one part of the country to another.

Ryan Seacrest Skin Care and Clothing Line

And if you think Ryan can’t possibly have time for anything else, you are wrong. It turns out that the popular TV host is also good with skin care products! Seacrest has teamed up with Dr. Harold Lance, the famous Beverly Hills dermatologist, and released a line of male skincare and grooming products called Polished.

The skin line consists of Dual Cleanse & Shave, Oil-Free Moisturizer with SPF 30, Daily Micro-Scrub, Anti-Aging Serum, and the Daily Lip Care balm with SPF 15. All these products with original formulas promise to fulfill the skincare needs men have.

Seacrest also has his own line of suits called “Ryan Seacrest Distinction” that are exclusively sold at Macy’s. The suits are designed for everyone’s taste; Ryan’s label helps its customers by having sewn some helpful tags into the suits. This color-matching system includes tags that are printed with the numbers 1-4, according to the color and style. Thanks to this simple system, men can’t go wrong!
