Together with the Galaxy Note 9, Samsung Electronics has announced the newest addition to its wearables. The new gadget is known as the Galaxy Watch. It comes just two years since its predecessor, the Gear S3, was last produced. The smart watch is available in two sizes; a 46mm model, and a 42mm rose gold or midnight model. In the US, the galaxy watch will be made available in a Bluetooth-only version on August 24th. Later in the year, an LTE version will be availed by the tech giants. The Galaxy Watch, like the Gear S3, runs on Tizen OS. This operating system has a better battery life than Android Wear. Long battery life is the most impressive thing about the Galaxy Watch. Its battery can last an astounding 80 hours, unlike Apple’s watch that only lasts for 18 hours.

Just like all smart watches that run on android or Tizen, the galaxy watch is compatible with the latest iPhone X and Android phones. The device is not like Apple Watches that can only be connected to iPhones. Apart from those two huge differences, both the Apple Watch and Galaxy Watch have the usual fitness features that you are accustomed to. These features include GPS, heart rate sensor, water-resistance capabilities and music streaming.
Though we cannot get you the exact pricing information on the Galaxy Watch LTE version, the Bluetooth model will go for $329.99 for the 42mm size and $349.99 for the 46mm size. The Apple watch comes with a sleek and stylish design that is uniquely customized. It also comes in two sizes of 38mm and 42mm. This means that the Apple Watch is far better suited to smaller wrists. This is an area where the Galaxy watch will lag behind.

The Apple watch also comes in a myriad of colours and materials. You could choose between the aluminium, steel, and the ceramic versions. The colours that are available include gold, silver, black and rose gold. The Apple Watch Series 3 comes with a second generation OLED Retina display featuring Force Touch. The smaller 38mm display has a 272 by 340 pixels while the larger 42mm display has a resolution of 312 by 390 pixels. The 46mm Galaxy Watch features a display with 1.3-inch size. It also has a circular 360*360 pixels SUPER AMOLED display that is covered with Corning Gorilla DX+ glass. The 42mm version has a 1.2-inch display and similar specs and resolution as its larger counterpart.
