To succeed in the business world of today, companies require leadership that is always looking ahead. By spotting future trends and beating the competition to the punch, a company CEO can steer his company into a global leadership position. This has been the case with Art Peck, who as the CEO of Gap has used his years of business knowledge and willingness to think outside the box to help Gap reach new and exciting heights.

As Gap CEO for more than four years, Art Peck has been a key player in helping the company grow and diversify its global business strategy. In fact, one of his biggest successes as CEO has been convincing company leadership to franchise the company’s foreign retail locations. By doing so, not only has the company increased its profits substantially around the world, but it has also let many aspiring entrepreneurs have the chance to become business owners.

In addition to this excellent idea, Art Peck has also been a major force in helping Gap develop and grow its e-commerce division. Having previously served as the President of Gap’s Growth, Innovation, and Digital division, he helped lead the way to Gap now having what has grown into a $2 billion per year e-commerce presence in 80 countries across the world.

Known as an executive who gets results no matter what project he is assigned, Art Peck has also been able to get excellent sales improvements for many of Gap’s retail stores across the world. In fact, prior to becoming the company’s CEO, he served as President of the company’s North America division, which had him in charge of overseeing more than 700 stores. In this capacity, he initiated a product resurgence in all stores, which resulted in not only keeping Gap’s existing customers, but also attracting new ones as well. Due to his efforts, Gap saw its North America division increase its sales for six consecutive quarters, a feat that is rarely matched in today’s competitive business environment.

Along with increasing the number of Gap stores worldwide, Art Peck has also been instrumental in helping the company increase the number of Banana Republic and Old Navy stores as well, both of which fall under the Gap company umbrella. Possessing an MBA from Harvard Business School, Art Peck has demonstrated time and time again a unique ability to make the right moves at the right time for his company.

Due to his many successful endeavors during his business career, Art Peck has been named one of the 100 Most Creative People in Business by the prestigious retail business publication Fast Company. To get this honor, which features a variety of innovative movers and shakers from the worlds of business, design, marketing, technology, movies, music, and other areas, his feats had to be judged to be extraordinary and difficult if not impossible to be matched by others. Thus, as he continues his career, there is little doubt Art Peck will create many more success stories along the way.
