Resnick has been donating money for research into climate change for several years. However, the $750 million is the most he has ever given to a single research facility by far. He said that one of the reasons he is making this donation is because of his grandchildren. They wanted him to help out with climate change research. Stewart said that older people really don’t care about climate change. It is young people who have made climate change their number one issue.
